Join us June 26-July 3, 2027 for an immersive watercolor retreat in Umbria, Italy.  We will go beyond the basics and delve deeper into our craft together while we soak up the beauty and beautiful hills of Umbria.  Sarah will lead the group with new project prompts, deepening all of our skills and spending quality time learning the art of travel sketching, fully immersing ourselves in the color palette of Umbria and the flavor palette as well.  Designed for those wishing to ignite their artistic journey and seasoned artists seeking to elevate their skills, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the art of watercolor and mixed media play with a group of like-minded creatives.

This retreat will take place in Umbria, a countryside region 1.5 hrs north of Rome, widely known for its picturesque beauty. We will stay together in a renovated 13th century villa, reserved just for our group, for 6 nights to paint and create together.

It will be the ultimate summer escape! Our sketchbook pages will be filled to the brim with inspiration from our days together. The excursions will take us on several local adventures as well, with everything thoughtfully curated to celebrate the local scenery, shopping and cultural flavor that is unique to the only and only bella italia. And of course, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the villa grounds (architecture...gardens...scenic vistas and walks...pool) and spend concentrated time painting.

Our beloved James Beard nominated chef Ashley Rodriguez will be with us again, selecting the finest seasonal Umbrian ingredients, and creating extraordinary meals that taste unmistakably of this place and this moment. Truffle-laced pastas, local olive oils, the wines of the Todi valley, all of it tended with her extraordinary care while you focus entirely on creating.

Your $1,000 deposit will secure your spot to ACW 2027 in Italy and is non-refundable.

The remaining balance can be split into 3 payments that will be due December 1, January 1 and February 1, 2027. 

The beautiful property has all private bedrooms. All of these private rooms share a bathroom with one other guest. Let us know if you are signing up with someone, and we will do our best to accommodate placing your rooms next to one another. 

Once we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email from us and additional retreat information and details reserved for confirmed attendees.
