A Creative Way in The Cotswolds: Deposit

Join us in September 2025 for an immersive watercolor retreat where we will go beyond the basics and delve deeper into our craft together.  Sarah will lead the group with new project prompts, deepening all of our skills and spending quality time learning the art of travel sketching, fully immersing ourselves in the English countryside, all while developing our artistic styles and practices.  Designed for seasoned artists seeking to elevate their skills, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the art of watercolor and mixed media play with a group of like-minded creatives.

This retreat will take place in the Cotswolds, a countryside region west of London. Widely known for its picturesque beauty, imagine a collection of stone-built cottages and garden manors, nestled into a range of rolling hills that rise from the meadows of the upper River Thames, above the Severn Valley and the Vale of Evesham.  

September is a beautiful month to explore the Cotswolds and surrounding shires, and our sketchbook excursions will take us to several local adventures that celebrate the local scenery, shopping and cultural flavor. And of course, there will be plenty of time to cozy up and spend concentrated time on creative watercolor sessions at the main house. 

Important Trip Details

• Six (6) days together curated days together
• Five (5) nights of lodging in a beautiful manor or cottage
• All meals at the manor will be provided by a chef and we will visit local pubs/restaurants as well.

• Transportation to and from the local rail station (which you can access from London)
• Retreat registration does not cover travel expenses to and from England. 

Spending this dedicated time with other artists is invaluable and that is a large part of this experience as well.  The opportunity to share knowledge, exchange insights, witness varying styles and offer/receive encouragement is one important way to improve. We are so excited for these few days and hope you join us! 

Your $1000 deposit will secure your spot to ACW 2025 Cotswolds and is non-refundable.The remaining balance can be split into three payments that will be due January 15, March 15 and May 15 2025. 

Room prices range from $6,500 - $8,000. Room prices vary based on accommodations  which will include the following options:

Option A: $8,000 will be a private king room with ensuite bathroom. 

Option B: $7,000 will be a private king room with shared bathroom with one other room.

Option C: $6,500 will be a room shared with another attendee (single bed per person) and shared bathroom with one other room.

Once we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email from us. Please reply to that email as soon as possible, indicating your room type preference (Option A, B or C). Room preferences will be assigned on a first come first served basis and groups will be accommodated based on availability.
